Against the background of news about the next break-in of crypto exchange stock, the rate of cryptocurrency has fallen again and panic has risen among investors. Similar sentiments are observed with hacking regularly, although it would seem that there are no objective reasons why a site is hacked, not a cryptocurrency. However, the hacks of exchanges and wallets and the fall in the exchange rate of cryptocurrencies are interrelated and it makes sense to disassemble it in order to choose the best strategy for behavior in such circumstances!
The catalyst of this chain can be not traders, but a large investor who made a statement in the media or ordinary crypto users who have come across hacks before and know what will follow.
There will always be overly cautious people, users and speculators who do not understand the situation. However, it is possible that over time, this dependence can be reduced.
On the other hand, the cryptosocommunity, apparently, will have to wait until at least one of these scenarios is realized. It is too early to count on assistance from the legislative bodies, since many countries have only decided on the status of cryptocurrencies and are clearly not ready for serious intervention in the cryptosphere.
Owners of exchanges and wallets may take certain steps, but the introduction of the restrictions on trading on one exchange will not contribute to its popularity, traders simply go to another resource.
The restrictions will work if a few leading crypto-bills come to the general solution. This is hardly possible in the foreseeable future, as the exchanges are now fighting for the client and it is not in their interest to restrict it, since competitors will immediately appear without restrictions.
It remains only to rely on the emergence of high-quality media, publicly available video lectures or books that would explain to crypto-economics for novice investors and train themselves to make decisions in nontrivial situations. However, it takes time.
In general, the leading and demanded currencies after hacking are restored for the simple reason that they do not lose their actual value due to situations on third-party resources.
Therefore, the most reasonable thing is to wait until the hype subsides, regardless of whether the exchange or the wallet recovers from the impact or not, choose another reliable resource and continue working with cryptocurrencies, as before.
